Not medical advice

Fuelamo gives general information about food, calories and nutrients. It is not medical, dietetic or nutritional advice, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. It does not replace a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified health professional.

Talk to your doctor before you start if you have a medical condition (for example diabetes, heart, kidney or liver disease), take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18 or over 65, or have had an eating disorder. Stop and get medical help if you feel faint, unwell or unusually tired.

If you are struggling with eating, food or body image, please speak to a doctor or a local eating-disorder support service. Fuelamo is not suitable as a tool for very low calorie dieting.

Estimates and results

Calorie and macro targets are estimates from standard formulas (Mifflin-St Jeor, activity factors and body-weight rules). Every body is different, so real needs can differ. Food values come from typical nutrition data, product labels and Open Food Facts, and may be wrong or out of date. Always check the label, especially for allergies.

Target weights and BMI ranges are a rough guide. BMI does not tell muscle from fat and is less accurate for athletes, older adults, children and some ethnic groups. Fuelamo keeps plans within common safety limits (no more than about 0.75% of body weight a week at a healthy BMI and about 1.25% with a higher BMI, a daily deficit of at most 1,500 kcal, and never below 1,200 kcal on the female formula, 1,350 kcal on the average formula or 1,500 kcal on the male formula). When maintenance is already near those minimums, the app does not plan a loss, but results are not guaranteed.

Allergies and food safety

You can set allergy filters (gluten, milk, egg, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, soy, sesame) so those foods are not planned. The filters use typical recipes, not the label of the product you buy, and foods you add yourself are not checked. Always read the label, and do not rely on the app for a severe allergy. You are responsible for storing and cooking food safely.

AI features

Plate photos, the command bar and meal coaching use artificial intelligence. They can misjudge foods and amounts. Check the results before you rely on them.

Some products in Fuelamo are paid placements or affiliate links and are always labelled “Sponsored”. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. A sponsored product is not a health recommendation, and we do not make claims about it. Purchases are made with the seller, under the seller’s terms.

Trademarks

All product names, brand names, logos and trademarks shown in Fuelamo, including food brands, shops, Google, Apple, X and Open Food Facts, belong to their respective owners. Their use is for identification only and does not mean endorsement by, or affiliation with, those owners. “Fuelamo” is a working name and is not presented as a registered trademark.

Liability

You use Fuelamo at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any harm or loss arising from use of the app or reliance on its content. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law in your country.
